Miss Merle
Merle King Reese founded Merle's Dance Place in August, 1988.  Miss Merle
is currently Second Vice President of Carolina Dance Masters and active in
Dance Masters of America, Inc.  She is a Certified Dance Educator through
Dance Masters of America, Inc and has held the title of Miss Dance of North
Carolina.  Miss Merle's students have won many honors, including Mister
Dance of NC, Junior Mister Dance of NC, the"Beale Fletcher Entertainment
Award", and the "Backstage Award."  
Miss Sonya
Sonya Barrineau Monts' accomplishments in dance began at age eight, extending
to being a member of the Greenville Ballet for five years. Her most prominent
performance was the Snow Princess in the Nutcracker.  A 1994 graduate from
Columbia College with a Bachelor of Arts, she continues to share her talents as
an employee of Merle's Dance Place.  Miss Sonya also has an interest in the
Miss America Program, where she is a Certified Judge.
Miss Jamie
Jamie Peeler Osteen had fifteen years of formal training prior to college.  She is a
1994 graduate of UNC-A with a BA in Drama.  In addition to her dance, she has
a strong background in cheer, leading up to a position as UNC-A as head coach
of their dance team and cheer squad.  Jamie was also in the movie Dirty Dancing.
Miss Beth
Beth Easler Bradley began dancing at the age of four.  She was a student teacher
at MDP for 5 years before joining the staff in 2000. Beth has a BA in
Psychology from UNC-A.  She is noted for her many awards in Choreography.

Miss Brigitte
Brigitte moved to NC in March of 2007.  She has been trained in ballet, tap,
jazz, hip hop, lyrical and modern dance.  Brigitte is a graduate of the University
of Alabama with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.  She was part of the
Alabama Repertoire Dance Theater and Crimson Cabaret.  As a junior in
college, she began teaching and found this to be her niche in the dance world.  
Brigitte enjoys teaching and investing in the lives of her students.
